Dynamite Idea for creating positive growth in your business!


I wanted to share a personal mastery secret with you, you might find very helpful if your business is less than thriving. If you are down, stuck, not selling as much as you know you can. You can fix it quick! It's easy!
Very recently one of my life coaches (Mike Litman, one of the all time greats - http://www.mikelitman.com/archives/) suggested to exit a rut you need to figure out "whatever it is you want" and decide to "give it away"! Read that again, as Mike Litman suggests often.
If you want more sales give away free information on your products benefits, or health advisory info on the benefits of enhancing wellness thought the use of your product. Give info, items, training or whatever it is you want away today and start reaping the benefits of your generous behavior. "Giver's Gain (TM)" as they say in some networking circles.
I do it every week in my business. I call these gifts pop-bys. I create a custom unique items of value and I visit my customers, referral partners and friends with these little gifts. It's a unique way to stay in people's minds and thoughts without expecting anything in return. It's amazing what a tiny act of generosity will do for your business and future.

I just ran across a useful list of deadly copyright mistakes. I hope you are not making these when you write to your prospects and clients about your latest offerings.

The Seven Sins of Copywriting

Marketing communications specialist Deborah Ramstorf gives her opinion on what are considered the big no-no’s of copywriting. Ramstorf calls them the seven deadly sins of copywriting. So, the question is – are you guilty?

Here are Ramstorf’s list of the seven sins of copywriting:

1. Lack of appeal. Find out why someone would use the product or service. What
motivates them? What needs are satisfied? Does it save time? Improve their health?
Make them more attractive?

2. Failure to understand voice and tone. Each company has a unique voice—folksy,
professional, fun and funky, warm and fuzzy. Capture the voice through vocabulary,
phrasing and punctuation.

3. Writing about features, not benefits. A machine wash quilt is a feature. Convenient and economical to keep clean and fresh, is the benefit.

4. Failure to include a call to action. Every piece must have one. What do you want the
reader to do? Order? Call their sales rep? Log onto your web site? Watch for more
details?

5. Using long sentences, big words or jargon. Simplicity is key. Don’t make the reader
work to figure out the message, and nothing alienates the reader faster than “insider”
jargon. Use everyday words and short sentences.

6. Lack of sub-headlines. A big block of copy is intimidating. Effectively written subheads can tell the whole story.

7. Not reading your copy out loud. No matter how well-written, on-target the copy, if
there are spelling, typographical, or grammatical errors, it smacks of sloppiness and you
lose credibility. Read your copy out loud or have someone proof for you.

You don't need a high FICO to get "A" paper rates.

True story I just refinanced a home for a great client that needed a trusted advisor, not a sub prime shark. He had a low FICO at 595 and a horrible mortgage history; almost had the bank foreclose twice in a single year. Needless to say his credit profile was not the prettiest; lots of lates, a few collections and a lien.

He came to me after speaking to two other lenders; each wanted a pound of flesh to give my client the cash he needed. The problem was he wanted to improve his rate not suffer at the hand of sharks.

I reviewed his scenario carefully and had his new loan approved and underwritten within twenty-four hours from the time I took his application. We locked our extremely competitive rate in at 6.375% on a 30yr fixed mortgage with cash out, stated. The other guys rates were well into the sevens and they had lots of fees on top. We also knocked origination costs down by 60%.

We basically took a sub prime deal and locked in “A” paper rates. My client couldn’t believe how different his scenario was with me from the other guys.

One deal doesn’t make my month and I don’t need your deal to survive. I’m happy to give all of my clients the great service and prices they expect as hard working home owners or future owners.
